Lorapetalum chinense 'Zhu Zhou Fuchsia': The blackish maroonish leaves are unique because they hold color in the heat of summer. The plant is upright with ascending, arching branches. You can not only use a Lorapetalum as a shrub, but you can train it on trellises and walls. It will grow to around 10' and flowers are deep pink. It may be more cold hardy than most Lorapetalum chinense.
