Berberis thunbergii var. atropurpurea 'Crimson Pygmy': At maturity, this plant will be 1.5' to 2' tall and 2.5' to 3' wide. It grows quite densely and has reddish-purple foliage. The leaf color is best when it is planted in full sun. It also bears lovely red fruit in October and persists into winter.
